The City of Newton is located just a mere 7 miles west of downtown Boston, however the look and feel of New England charm could not be more present. Newton consists of 13 “villages” and while there are no formal borders to these areas, each village has its own distinct neighborhood feel.
In 2012, Fortune Money magazine named Newton the 4th Best Place to live in the United States. While this may have suprised some folks, the locals are well aware of all their city has to offer.
Newton seems to have it all; proximity to Boston and Cambridge, easy highway access, excellent public school system and charming villages, in essence offering 13 different “main streets”. All of this makes Newton highly desirable and highly sought after. The downside of course is that real estate prices don’t come cheap, but ask anyone that lives there and they will tell you its worth it.
